As it happens, the setting is so breathtaking – physically and metaphorically – it provides much to speak of and much to shut you up. There seems to be a Buddhist saying for everything and one advises that one should not speak unless it improves on the silence. In this part of the world, little passes that test.
The geography dominates completely, with little flora or fauna to distract your senses or your thoughts, save for a lottery-like hope of spotting a snow leopard when there’s no snow.
