I was busy moving paintedstork.com to a new hosting service provider in the last few days. The migration is now complete. I have had some small difficulties during the migration, which caused paintedstork.com to be down for about two days in the last week. The problems are now resolved and things should work fine from now on. You may still find some minor problems or some error messages in parts of the site. If you encounter any such problems, I would be grateful if you can just leave a word here and let me know about it.
I had to move to a different hosting service, as my existing host was unable to handle the growing traffic on paintedstork.com. Host Discovery, where I was hosted earlier, had a great service and I was very happy to have stuck to them for more than five years. They had one of the best support team that was always available and went to extra lengths to resolve any problems I have had with the website during my years of using their service. But they had to ask me to move out as their servers were unable to handle the traffic generated by this site. Despite the fact that I was a customer who is moving out, they still extended their great service and assisted me in the best possible manner to make the migration smooth. If you are looking to host a personal site and in search of a reliable web hosting service, I would recommend them without second thoughts.
Also, some of you who are subscribed on RSS to India Travel Blog may see some recent posts getting re-posted. This is a temporary problem during the migration and should not repeat again. Thanks for your patience and a special thanks to a lot of you who wrote to me about paintedstork.com being down for some time.
Having just completed a travelogue on my visit to Dharamsala in Novemeber 2010, I sat down to take stock of other places to which I have travelled in the last few years, but haven’t written about them here yet. It appears like a long list and I am hoping to complete writing about all of them in next few months. The number of stories pending are so many and on so many places, even if I write 500 words every day, it will probably last for next six months. Here is the list of places – I am still wondering where to begin and which one should be the next.
Ladakh
I have already written a lot about Ladakh, but an equal amount has remained. Here is a list of stories I have written about Ladakh so far. If you are planning to visit this summer, this could come handy for you. And here is pending list from Ladakh

It has been a terribly busy (the ever-present excuse for not posting much here!) and eventful January for me and the new year has kicked with a good note for me.
Along with professional photographer Shreeram, I have kick-started Darter, a venture on conducting photography tours across the country. We began with a photography tour of Hampi, which ran full and we received tremendous feedback from the participants. We will be stepping up on the gas with more tours and February will begin with a grand tour to photograph the wildlife in Little and Greater Runn of Kutch. Look up more about us on our facebook page and do join us on our photography tours.
In two days, I will be leaving for a 20-day expedition braving the cold of Ladakh which falls below -20C and heading to the heart of the mountains. I hope to push the limits of landscape photography and hopefully come out with eye-catching images of the frozen yet stark Ladakh.
Stay tuned for more updates on the photography tours and images from Ladakh. Thank you.
