Tag – Dreams

Mridula tagged me to write about three dreams I have had. Now, I would rather manipulate it to write about things that I dream about than dreams that come to me. But let me stick to the topic that it is meant to be.

I am not sure why, but I have never ever dreamt something good, or I don’t recall them if I did. All of them have been strange and bad and have me in a receiving end!

There is one I vaguely recall about a bear chasing me near a cliff. I manage to climb down the cliff but the bear follows! I end up having a small fight with the bear, and eventually pushing the bear down the cliff and climbing back up.

In another series of dreams, I dreamt about accidents. Accidents where a vehicle I was in got into an accident or I was a live witness. The accidents in the dream were fatal, but twice it happened that on the day I dreamt of the fatal accident, I was involved in a very minor accident! I don’t know if they can be related or not, but surely it was amusing.

Next was a similar story where I was beaten up by a mob, but can’t recall much of it!

Anyway I think none of these dreams were really worth sharing, which is why I would rather have written about dreams I have than dreams I get.

Indibloggies is on!

After some delay, the process for Indibloggies 2006 award has begun. This time around, we have a separate category for travel blogs. Naturally I would like to be in the contest and hope for the crowning glory. So here is for you – my reader – if you liked India Travel Blog and found it useful, do nominate this blog for travel category. This page explains the nomination process. Also see the faq to know more about indibloggies.

Images of India Widget

Yesterday I was browsing through a few blogs and noticed the mybloglog widget on one of the blogs. Somehow it reminded of flickr images that some bloggers and websites display on their pages. I thought why not have such an image streaming box on my travel blog too, which could pick random images from my image gallery. I did not find a tool that was already available and works with blogger, so I did the next best thing – I fiddled with the application and created one myself. I have now installed it on the sidebar(scroll down). It shows different images each time you reload. I would love to hear your thoughts on how it fits in on the blog.

My gallery contains images of various places of India, its people, its wildlife, landscapes, monuments and pictures of beautiful locations. The widget can be fit on any webpage, and if you feel you can do with this to add some color to your webpage with images of India, go ahead and install it by copying this code.
